SUNY New Paltz Student Hit by Car Awarded All Available Insurance

August 7, 2020

injured driver

In September 2018, our 21-year-old client from Crompond, NY was a student at SUNY New Paltz in Ulster County. That month, she and a friend were in a crosswalk on Route 32 in New Paltz, walking from campus to a parking lot. The defendant driver, a resident of Highland, NY, was driving northbound and was not paying attention to the roadway. He failed to see the students and struck both of them. Our client sustained head and back injuries. Steven H. Cohen was able to settle the matter for all available insurance shortly after depositions.
