In December 2019, Feldman, Kleidman, Collins & Sappe LLP’s (FKC&S) client, a 36-year-old stay at home mom, was driving northbound on New York State Route 9D in Fishkill, NY. A driver headed southbound crossed over and struck her head-on, totaling her car. FKC&S’s client suffered injuries to her neck, lower back and both knees. She was transported to the emergency room by ambulance, where she was evaluated and released. She tried conservative care, including chiropractic and physical therapy, but her condition did not improve. Ultimately, she underwent a two-part arthroscopic surgery to her left knee. The case was placed into suit in Dutchess County Supreme Court. Considering her young age and life expectancy, FKC&S obtained a $325,000 settlement just before trial.
