In May 2021, Feldman, Kleidman, Coffey & Sappe LLP’s (FKC&S) 94-year-old client was with her aide at a Dutchess County, NY department store. She was stopped in her wheelchair looking at some merchandise when a store employee came around the corner too fast, pushing a cart loaded with heavy merchandise. One of the boxes fell off the cart and struck FKC&S’s client’s left leg, resulting in some skin tearing and a subsequent infection. She was hospitalized for three days.
Given FKC&S’s client’s age, Steven H. Cohen filed suit as soon as he obtained the incident report and her medical records. He mediated before any depositions were conducted and settled for $250,000.00, resolving her case quickly and fairly.
