Jeffrey M. Feldman, founding partner of Feldman, Kleidman, Collins & Sappe LLP (FKC&S), joined Conor Walsh’s “Walsh Wednesday” podcast last month to discuss a variety of topics ahead of the firm’s 40th anniversary in early 2026.
During their conversation, Feldman reflected starting the firm with the late Paul S. Kleidman in the 1980s and shared the story of how they first met. He spoke candidly about their partnership, the challenges of building a niche firm in the Hudson Valley and why Kleidman’s name has remained an integral part of the firm nearly two decades after his passing.
“Paul and I went through thick or thin together,” Feldman said. “There was never ever a thought to taking his name out. It’s part of the fabric and the fiber of the firm.”
During the episode, Feldman detailed the firm’s specialized focus areas – personal injury and medical malpractice defense. He shared how the legal field has evolved in the years since the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly the shift to remote depositions and court conferences, and admitted that he misses the in-person connections with colleagues that once defined courthouse culture.
“There’s a lot you lose by not being physically present,” Feldman said.
